Or maybe your knee can't tolerate impact activity anymore so you are unable to run for cardio. And let's face it, the elliptical at the gym just isn't as fun as logging miles on a run. 

What you need is a comprehensive exercise-based rehab program that will use precise movement to reduce inflammation in the knee joint while strengthening the muscles around the knee and restoring joint mechanics.

Additionally, we want to maximize performance at the joints above and below the knee (hello hips, feet and ankles!). 

And then over time your knee becomes more tolerant, more capable, and more durable so that you can start reintroducing all the activities you enjoy whether that is running, hiking, squatting, lunging etc... 

This program will guide you through a systematic progression to improve the health and function of your knees

We begin Phase 1 by using movement to reduce joint inflammation, restoring necessary joint mechanics, addressing foot/hip function, and using isometrics to safely load the knee.  

In Phases 2 & 3 we train co-contractions at the knee and foot, progress strength at the knee and hip and continue to restore full range of motion at the knee joint

By Phases 4 & 5 we are ready to start re-introducing impact activity. We will train the body to produce stiffness through the tendons in the ankles, get the knee use to controlling and absorbing force during jump landing and then finally progressing to more advanced plyometrics that will ensure your knee finishes this program at a higher level of performance than when you began.

This program is meant to challenge you. If you do the work and stay consistent, I am confident you will get the results. 

After completing this program you can expect:
